This role focuses on both front-end and back-end systems, with an emphasis on back end and end-to-end (E2E) processes that deliver an exceptional customer experience. The QE will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, execute, and monitor comprehensive testing strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement QA processes for e-commerce platforms to ensure functionality, security, and scalability.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive testing plans, including test cases, scenarios, and scripts for E2E workflows.
- Conduct functional, regression, and user acceptance testing (UAT) across the e-commerce ecosystem.
- Execute E2E testing, tracing the user journey from checkout to fulfillment.
- Work with order management, ERP fulfillment systems and be the functional SME of backend processes.
- Collaborate with development teams to implement fixes and optimize code.
- Develop automated test scripts to reduce manual testing efforts and ensure continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD).
- Utilize tools such as Selenium, JIRA, Postman, or similar for testing and reporting.
- Work with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into testing protocols.
- Ensure alignment with business goals and customer expectations through proactive communication and feedback.
- Provide detailed documentation of test results, metrics.
- Work with offshore teams to align and deliver projects, mentor junior quality engineers.
- Prepare and present quality assurance reports to stakeholders and leadership.
Experience
:
- 7+ years in QE role, preferably in e-commerce environments.
- Hands-on experience with E2E testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) and test automation tools.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, middleware integrations, databases, and web technologies.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento, or custom-built solutions), OMS platforms (Sterling, Blue Yonder)
- Experience with agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of security standards for online transactions.
- This QE role is integral to the delivery of a reliable and user-friendly e-commerce experience, ensuring that every touchpoint in the customer journey meets the highest quality standards.
