Java Principal Tech Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Java Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and maintenance of our enterprise healthcare management systems. This role will play a critical part in building new generation software systems while also supporting and modernizing legacy platforms. You will work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, contribute to CI/CD processes, and provide technical leadership to the development team.

• Develop and maintain enterprise healthcare management systems.
• Design and implement new generation software systems while supporting legacy applications.
• Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines leveraging AWS CDK.
• Manage and maintain AWS cloud infrastructure and services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Develop and maintain software modules integrating user interfaces, server components, and databases.
• Work independently on medium-to-high complexity tasks, escalating issues as necessary.
• Engage with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and propose innovative solutions.
• Participate in agile ceremonies and code reviews, providing mentorship and technical guidance.
• Apply software design patterns, clean code practices, and industry best practices in all development efforts.

• 8+ years of hands-on software development experience with Java technologies.
• Proven track record of mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and driving technical initiatives.
• Expertise in Java (Java SE, Java EE) and strong proficiency with modern Java frameworks (e.g., Spring Boot, Jakarta EE).
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) and best practices for automated deployment pipelines.
• Proficiency in working with both SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g. MongoDB, DynamoDB).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong grasp of design patterns, object-oriented principles, and best practices in enterprise software development.
• Ability to support and modernize legacy Java-based applications.
