About the Role

We are seeking a Bilingual Medical Virtual Assistant (Spanish-English) with a nursing or healthcare background to support a U.S.-based clinical team. In this role, youll handle patient communications, coordinate care, and manage administrative processesall while ensuring accuracy, empathy, and professionalism across both languages.

This is ideal for someone with healthcare experience who enjoys patient interaction and wants to continue contributing to meaningful care in a remote capacity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate with patients in Spanish and English via phone, text, email, or patient portals.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, reminders, and follow-ups through EMR/EHR systems.
  • Explain care instructions and clinic procedures (within scope; not diagnosing).
  • Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
  • Support billing, documentation, and insurance coordination as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinicians and staff to ensure a smooth patient experience.
  • Provide compassionate and efficient support while upholding HIPAA standards.
Qualifications
  • Nursing/Physician education or clinical experience required (CNA, MA, RN, or similar preferred).
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English (written and spoken).
  • At least 1 year of experience in a healthcare, telehealth, or medical office setting.
  • Solid experience in the Cardiology space, including comprehensive exposure to Congestive Heart Failure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
  • Experience using EMR/EHR systems (e.g., Athena, Kareo, SimplePractice) is a plus.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable in remote work settings.
  • Ability to handle confidential information and follow HIPAA compliance.
Preferred Skills
  • Background in home health, telemedicine, or outpatient care.
  • Knowledge of medical billing or prior authorization processes.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and CRM systems.
