Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant based in La Paz, Bolivia. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for supporting patient care by assisting healthcare providers during medical examinations, updating and maintaining medical records, and managing medical office tasks. Additional responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, handling medical terminology accurately, and ensuring proper documentation.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Assisting and a strong understanding of Medical Terminology
- Experience with Medical Office procedures and administrative tasks
- Skills and experience in Patient Care and maintaining high standards of empathy and communication
- Knowledge of Medical Records management and organizational accuracy
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Certification or diploma in Medical Assisting or a related field is preferred
- Proficiency in local language(s) and basic English communication skills
- Familiarity with medical software and tools is a plus
