The Export Control Regulation Manager is responsible for the organization’s end-to-end export control compliance, ensuring strict adherence to global, regional, and national laws and proactively managing risks related to cross-border transactions, dual-use goods, and technology transfers. 
 
Key Responsibilities
- Export Control Regulatory Intelligence & Governance
·      Monitor, research, and analyze international, regional, and national laws, agency guidance, and enforcement trends on export controls (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use Regulation), focusing on regimes beyond indirect sanctions.
·      Develop and continually revise export control compliance programs in line with legislative, judicial, executive, and agency requirements, emphasizing robust license determination processes and accurate classification of goods and technologies.
·      Maintain a dynamic log of legislative changes, regulatory updates, license requirements, lists of controlled items, destinations, and end uses.
·      Ensure operational readiness for new and evolving LDRs and proactively implement workflow changes to address control list updates and new embargoes.
·      Design, implement, and monitor workflows supporting License Determination Rules (LDR), including technology/product classification, jurisdiction assessment, and license application triggers. 

- Export Control Workflow Design
·      Collaborate with development and technical teams to implement and update screening protocols, LDR logic, and escalation paths in ERP systems.
·      Translate new laws, judicial decisions, and agency guidance into concrete changes in automated screening systems and manual review procedures.

- Stakeholder Communication & Legal Advisory
·       Act as the organization’s primary advisor for export control, presenting regulatory changes, LDR updates, and operational impacts to executive management and technical teams.
·       Liaise with regulatory bodies and trade authorities during audits or regulatory investigations and serve as the point of contact for export license-related queries.

- Documentation, Quality Control & Problem Resolution
·      Write and maintain clear documentation of processes, workflows, and regulatory updates.
·      Conduct quality control checks, troubleshoot workflow/data issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure data integrity and compliance.
·      Develop periodic reports and updates for executive leadership regarding regulatory status, export control risks, and improvement initiatives.
·      Ensure processes are aligned with service level agreements (SLAs).
·      Collaborate with management on long-term compliance goals and support the implementation of compliance products.
 
Candidate Profile

Education & Experience
·      Bachelor’s or master’s degree in law, International Relations, or a related field.
·      Minimum 5 years of experience interpreting legislative texts and judicial rulings affecting compliance.
·      Experience in regulatory compliance, data investigation, and analysis of international business structures.
·      Proven working knowledge of international export control regulations (e.g., EAR, ITAR, EU Dual-Use Regulation, LDRs).
·      Experience implementing export control compliance programs and managing regulatory reporting obligations.
·      Must be amenable to work CEST

Skills & Competencies
·      Deep legislative analysis and ability to operationalize LDRs, control list updates, and export licensing requirements.
·      Strong analytical and research skills; adept at workflow design and process automation for export controls.
·      Clear communicator with proven ability to translate complex legal/regulatory requirements into practical business procedures.
·      Proactive problem-solver with flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing regulatory environments.
·      Good understanding of Large Language Models (LLM) and how to use LLM to improve current processes
