Medical Instrument Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Instrument Technician to join our team.

This role involves competently performing standardized instrument processing and decontamination to prevent the spread of infection, illness or disease. You will work independently, exercising sound judgment to support the functionality of the department by disinfecting and distributing supplies and performing equipment maintenance, testing, and setup as needed.

• Perform high-level disinfection and sterilization procedures
• Maintain accurate records of processed instruments
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient workflow
• Stay up-to-date with local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Graduation from an accredited sterile processing program
• At least 1 year of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of surgical tools, procedures, views, and equipment
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to interpret data and instructions in various formats
• Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology
