We are seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to join our team as a Blood Specimen Collector and Laboratory Assistant. This role involves collecting blood specimens, handling and processing biological samples, and interacting with patients of diverse backgrounds.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Certification & Licenses:

    Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or II

  • Education:

    High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED)

  • Experience:

    1-year recent relevant experience

Responsibilities and Expectations:
  1. Collects blood specimens and processes biological samples for laboratory testing
  2. Interacts with patients of diverse ages, backgrounds, values, beliefs, and behaviors
  3. Receives, sorts, and accesses specimens, assigning them to appropriate pre-analytic and analytic workflows
  4. Completes computerized tasks related to patient registration and test order entry
  5. Maintains a clean, stocked, and safe work area
  6. Escalates priority work and adheres to local/state/federal regulations and codes
